Buk-gu and Sasang Hope Education Districts, 'Community Connection Schools' Call for Applications
Busan Northern Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Beom-gyu) announced on the 11th that it will officially operate various programs and public contest projects in the Buk-gu and Sasang Hope Education Districts.
The Buk-gu and Sasang Hope Education Districts operate various region-specific programs such as 'Buk-gu (Sasang) Village School,' 'Shoes-in Sasang,' 'Sasang Theater Classroom,' and 'Learning the Village.'
Students from 51 schools including Gunan Elementary School in Buk-gu and 38 schools including Gamjeon Elementary School in Sasang-gu participate in region-linked programs.
In addition, five public contest projects including the 'Regional Connection School' are being promoted targeting schools. This is to strengthen the autonomy of school curriculum operation and support the operation of region-linked customized curricula that support learners' lives and growth.
In particular, the 'Regional Connection School' project also provides vehicles to facilitate convenience when attending performances to revitalize school cultural arts education.
Kim Beom-gyu, Superintendent of the Northern Office of Education, said, “The Hope Education District programs have high satisfaction in the school field,” and added, “We will actively work to discover curricula linked to students' lives by utilizing various educational resources in the local community.”
