Jumbo Ramyeon Series Surpasses 3 Million Units Sold... Over 25 Billion KRW in Sales
Equivalent to 21 Million Units of Regular Cup Noodles Sold
GS25's Jumbo Ramen series has surpassed 3 million units in sales, leading to the launch of the fourth product, 'Teumsae Bigimmyun'.
GS Retail, which operates the convenience store GS25, announced on the 11th that the cumulative sales of the Jumbo Ramen series, which has been released sequentially since May last year, exceeded 3 million units as of the end of last month. The currently released Jumbo Ramen series includes three types: ▲Paldo Jumbo Dosirak ▲Gongganchun ▲Omori Jumbo Dosirak. Considering the volume of Jumbo Ramen, this is equivalent to selling 21 million regular cup noodles.

The Jumbo Ramen series is a super-large private brand (PB) cup noodle by GS25, reflecting trends such as mukbang content, with a size more than eight times that of regular cup noodles. Initially planned as a limited event product with 50,000 units, it was converted into a regular product due to its popularity.
The three types?Omori Jumbo Dosirak, Gongganchun, and Paldo Jumbo Dosirak?have generated sales exceeding 25 billion KRW, ranking first to third in GS25's cup noodle category. GS25 explained that it is rare for PB ramen to occupy the top sales rankings.
On this day, GS25 introduces the fourth installment of the Jumbo Ramen series, 'Teumsae Bigimmyun'. Teumsae Bigimmyun is a product planned by GS25 by combining Paldo Bibimmyeon and Teumsae Ramen, reflecting seasonal demand and the trend for spicy flavors. It includes 'Bibigo Jikhwa Chamgireum Gim' as a component to be eaten with seasoned seaweed, using wide sheets of whole seaweed rather than small pieces.
Teumsae Bigimmyun consists of 8 servings of regular single-portion ramen, 1 Bibimmyeon sauce, 1 Teumsae Ramen sauce, and 1 Bibigo Jikhwa Chamgireum Gim (whole seaweed sheet). The two sauces and seaweed are individually packaged, allowing consumers to prepare according to their preference. From the 11th to the 12th, a limited quantity of 2,000 units was sold on a first-come, first-served basis through the pre-order service on the Our Neighborhood GS app, and it will be officially released nationwide at GS25 stores on the 18th. The price is 16,800 KRW.
GS25 plans to continue releasing Jumbo Ramen series products quarterly following Teumsae Bigimmyun. Additionally, they are considering diversifying sizes, such as a 'Super Jumbo' (tentative name) larger than the previously produced 8-serving Jumbo Ramen, and a smaller 'Mini Jumbo' (tentative name).
Kim Dae-jong, Ramen MD of GS Retail's Processed Food Team, said, "Jumbo Ramen, initially planned as an event product, has become a regular product and is achieving unprecedented sales, rewriting the history of convenience store ramen. Due to the syndromic popularity of Jumbo Ramen, collaboration requests from top brands are flooding in, which is accelerating the development of new Jumbo Ramen menus that exceed customer expectations and the continuous expansion of the lineup."
