Hwang Myeong-seon, the Democratic Party of Korea candidate for Nonsan, Gyeryong, and Geumsan, has won his first parliamentary seat.

According to the National Election Commission on the 11th, Hwang secured 61,146 votes, defeating Park Seong-gyu of the People Power Party by a margin of 4,440 votes, confirming his election.

Hwang said, "This general election was a solemn mandate from the people to judge the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, which has neglected the livelihood of the people," adding, "I will honor this choice by stopping the reckless actions of the Yoon administration and reviving the collapsing Republic of Korea."

He continued, "I will promote Nonsan, Gyeryong, and Geumsan as the best products of Korea, opening a new era where the happiness index is high," and added, "I will work not with words but with proven ability and strong drive, running and running again on the ground."
