Seoul City Passes Review at Architecture Committee
Public Housing: 390 Units, Sale Housing: 2,202 Units
Prime Lots in Hannam New Town... Han River View and Near Subway Access
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 10th that "a total of six architectural reviews were approved at the 8th Architecture Committee meeting held on the 9th."
Near Seobinggo Station on the Gyeongui and Jungang Lines, the ‘Hannam 5 Redevelopment Promotion Zone Housing Redevelopment Project’ (Dongbinggo-dong, Yongsan-gu) will feature 56 apartment buildings with 6 basement floors and 23 above-ground floors. There will be 390 public housing units and 2,202 sale housing units. Ancillary welfare facilities, retail facilities, 146 officetel units, and neighborhood living facilities will also be included.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government explained, "Along the Han River, relatively low-rise buildings will be constructed, and the height will gradually increase toward Namsan to form a natural skyline that harmonizes with Namsan."
The Hannam 5 Redevelopment Promotion Zone is considered a prime project site within Hannam New Town. Compared to other zones, it is located on relatively flat land and directly adjacent to the Han River. It offers the largest area of Han River views within Hannam New Town, allowing for the most Han River view apartments. Additionally, the Dongbinggo Station, an extension of the Shinbundang Line, will be within walking distance of the complex, and access to Gangnam is convenient via Banpo Bridge. Once Yongsan Minjok Park is completed, it will be accessible on foot, enabling a ‘park influence zone.’ There is even talk that it could become a landmark encompassing both Yongsan and Gangnam.
Near Heukseok Station on Seoul Subway Line 9, the ‘Heukseok 9 Redevelopment Promotion Zone Housing Redevelopment Project’ (Heukseok-dong, Dongjak-gu) will include 267 public housing units and 1,273 sale housing units. It consists of 20 apartment buildings with 7 basement floors and 25 above-ground floors.
The ‘K-Square Grand Gangseo PFV New Construction Project’ will feature a knowledge industry center with 5 basement floors and 21 above-ground floors. It is located near Jeungmi Station on Subway Line 9 in Gayang-dong, Gangseo-gu.
The ‘Mullae-dong 3-ga 27-1 Mixed-Use Development Project’ will include a total of 218 sale housing units in three buildings with 3 basement floors and 29 above-ground floors. It is located near Mullae Station on Subway Line 2 in Mullae-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu.
Near Nambu Terminal Station on Subway Line 3, the ‘Seocho-dong 1593-13 New Construction Project’ will have two apartment buildings with 6 basement floors and 22 above-ground floors. Near Seoul Station, the ‘Seoul Station Jidan Zone Seoul Station North Special District New Construction Project’ (Bongnae-dong 2-ga, Jung-gu) will feature five buildings with 6 basement floors and 39 above-ground floors, including office facilities, officetels, tourist accommodation facilities, and retail facilities.
