Kiwoom's Kim Dongheon Diagnosed with Elbow Ligament Tear

Kiwoom Heroes' catcher Kim Dongheon has been diagnosed with a torn elbow ligament and will undergo reconstructive surgery.

According to the Kiwoom team, Kim Dongheon recently experienced pain in his right elbow during a Futures (second team) training session and visited a hospital, where he was diagnosed with a complete ligament tear.

At another hospital for a cross-examination, the same diagnosis was confirmed, and he will undergo 'Tommy John' surgery to reconstruct the elbow ligament.

Kim Dongheon, who joined Kiwoom last year, played in 102 games last season, posting a batting average of 0.242, with 2 home runs and 17 RBIs.
