This inspection was arranged to prevent various safety accidents, including fires, through prior on-site guidance to ensure the 22nd National Assembly election proceeds smoothly without any safety incidents.

Kim Hee-cheol, head of the Western Fire Station, listened to the status of Bitgoeul Gymnasium, the counting center, urged the maintenance of normal operation of fire-fighting facilities and prohibition of blocking evacuation and fire prevention facilities, and provided fire safety consulting including safety management instructions in preparation for unexpected situations during vote counting.

Kim said, “Since voting and counting facilities attract large crowds, there is a high risk of safety accidents,” and added, “We will do our utmost in fire-fighting activities such as preventive patrols at polling stations and forward deployment of fire-fighting forces at counting centers to ensure citizens can safely cast their precious votes.”
