Recruitment of Korean Tourism Photojournalists
The Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 9th that it is recruiting members for the Korea Tourism Photo Journalists Group, 'Frame Korea.'
Now in its second term, Frame Korea is a journalists group that promotes South Korea through diverse photos capturing the unique characteristics of each region. Fifteen members will be selected for the second term.
Anyone who wants to promote Korea through photography can apply. The application period is from the 9th to the 28th.
After the inauguration ceremony in May, Frame Korea members will be divided by region and carry out activities until November. Those who are finally selected will have opportunities for training in tourism photography techniques and on-site shooting. A fixed activity allowance will also be provided through monthly shooting missions.
The organization provides over 90,000 photos through the tourism photo gallery for public use. The journalists' photos are utilized in various fields such as travel, exhibitions and fairs, publishing, and web/app services to promote Korean tourism.
Kim Kyung-soo, head of the Digital Content Team at the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "Photography is both the beginning and a catalyst for travel," adding, "We will actively promote various projects to stimulate domestic travel demand among citizens with high-quality photo content from Frame Korea and to make Korea the country foreigners think of as a desirable destination."
