KRM announced on the 9th that it participated in the integrated chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) terrorism response training hosted by the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency, showcasing world-class quadruped robot technology.
This integrated training was conducted with the purpose of consolidating the technological capabilities of related organizations and fostering cooperation to respond to CBRN and terrorism situations. KRM's quadruped robot, ‘Vision 60,’ played a key role in the training and received high praise from military, firefighting, and police officials.
During the training, KRM’s quadruped robot ‘Vision 60’ was proactively deployed to hazardous areas to quickly identify on-site risk factors and provide essential information for establishing response plans. ‘Vision 60’ is equipped with five RGB cameras that enable real-time video streaming of the scene, and CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive) sensors that allow real-time monitoring of harmful gases and radiation levels on site.
The Busan Metropolitan Police Agency stated that this training was the first step in exploring the potential use of robots in CBRN incidents. Since field commanders can monitor and command the situation in real time from command control rooms located more than 100 meters away, it is expected that the adoption of quadruped robots will become more active in future terrorism response operations.
KRM CEO Park Kwang-sik said, “Our cooperation with the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency will mark the beginning of cases where advanced technology protects public safety,” adding, “We are confident that full-scale sales of ‘Vision 60’ will begin through such excellent references and positive feedback from public institution officials.”
