Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that from April 13 to November 30, every Saturday evening, the "2024 Goheung Nokdong Port Drone Show Busking" will be held at Nokdong Port Sea Garden to ensure the successful drone show of Goheung, the aerospace hub city.
Now in its second year, the busking performances are planned as shows that can satisfy both residents and tourists while promoting the cultural tourism development of Goheung. Various performances including bands, magic shows, trot, and folk songs will be held free of charge. Unless there are abnormal weather conditions, the performances will take place every Saturday during the summer season from April to September from 8 PM to 9 PM, and during the winter season from October to November from 7 PM to 8 PM.
In particular, at the opening ceremony of this year's Nokdong Port Drone Show, 1,500 drones, fireworks, and laser shows will be conducted. Corresponding to this, the busking performance will feature the "Kawsay Band," composed of musicians from South America, who will present lively Latin music from Ecuador and Peru to bring new excitement to the audience.
Additionally, this year's Nokdong Port Drone Show busking performances will offer high-quality shows such as popular singer Oh Seung-ha, a designated inheritor of the National Intangible Cultural Property No. 57 Gyeonggi Minyo and former contestant of Miss Trot 3 Goddess Division; female fingerstyle guitarist Kim Na-rin; and Jeong Jun-tae, a National Intangible Cultural Property No. 79 Battal transmission educator and leader of Goheung-gun’s exclusive arts troupe Pansori Changgeukdan, performing Battal mask plays, providing unique attractions for residents and tourists.
A county official stated, "We will provide diverse performances for residents and tourists visiting Goheung and promote Goheung’s status nationwide through the drone show." He added, "We hope many audiences will unite with joyful music at the upcoming events and enjoy the spectacular flights of drones, experiencing the city of culture and drones, Goheung."
