Arts Council to Hold Event at Daehakro Artist's House Starting from the 9th
Actor Yang Hee-kyung, soprano Lim Sun-hye, poet Park Jun, and others will serve as speakers for the second season of the 'Arko Lounge Club,' which will begin operations on the 9th, the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service announced on the same day.
The 'Arko Lounge Club' is a program newly established by the Arts Council in August last year to provide an opportunity to meet artists who are currently most active in the cultural and artistic fields and art enthusiasts who have a special affection for the arts at the Artist's House in Daehangno.
The 40 art enthusiast members who joined the first season membership of the 'Arko Lounge Club' met with artists from various genres such as writer Lee Seul-ah (literature), artistic director Kim Joo-won (dance), and Yoo Tae-pyung-yang, a permanent member of the National Changgeuk Company (traditional arts), every other Wednesday from August 30 to November 29 last year at the Artist's House.
The second season of the Arko Lounge Club will be held under the subtitle "An Art Society Connecting People through Art," operating a total of eight sessions every other Tuesday at 7 p.m. from the 9th to June 25.
At the first session on the 9th, Jeong Byeong-guk, chairman of the Arts Council, will give a lecture on the value of culture and arts. Following this, speakers will include ▲ actor Yang Hee-kyung (theater) ▲ soprano Lim Sun-hye (music/vocal) ▲ poet Park Jun (literature) ▲ saxophonist Noh Jeong-jin (music/jazz) ▲ photojournalist Kang Hyung-won (visual arts/photography) ▲ and Kang Soo-jin, director of the National Ballet Company (dance).
