"I Can't Take It Anymore"... Australian Man Urinates in Cup on Landed Plane

Man Fined for Urinating During Delay in Getting Off Vehicle

A man who urinated into a cup on a plane that had landed at the airport was fined.

On the 9th, the Associated Press reported, "A passenger was fined for urinating into a cup during a delay in disembarking after landing at Sydney Airport." The incident occurred last December after a three-hour flight on an Air New Zealand flight from Auckland, and the Sydney court imposed a fine of 600 Australian dollars (approximately 540,000 Korean won) on the 53-year-old man in February.

The incident recently attracted public attention, with the New Zealand news website Stuff reporting that a passenger named Hollv, who was seated in the same row, informed the flight crew of the man's behavior.

She was sitting with her 15-year-old daughter and said that the man, whose name was not disclosed and who was seated by the window, was urinating into a cup. They were seated in the aisle and middle seats. Stuff reported that Hollv heard the sound of the passenger urinating into the cup while the plane remained on the runway for about 20 minutes waiting for a terminal gate to be assigned. Air New Zealand told the AP that it did not comment on individual incidents but added that about 5 to 10 customers who engage in disorderly conduct such as drinking are banned from boarding each month.

Under South Korea's Aviation Security Act, a person who causes sexual humiliation to others inside an aircraft on the ground may be fined up to 5 million Korean won.
