The agreement focuses on sharing information about high-risk electronic monitoring subjects (notified and publicly disclosed sex offenders), joint response to incidents of electronic device tampering, management of electronic device attachment for stalking offenders, and establishing a cooperative system to protect victims under provisional measures.
Both organizations plan to establish a hotline for close collaboration among field officers and exchange information on individuals required to register personal information to prevent repeat offenses.
A police official stated, “We will continue to actively work to prevent recidivism among sex offenders by building a cooperative system between agencies responsible for public safety to alleviate public anxiety.”
