The Gumi City Video Media Center in Gyeongbuk has been selected as the sole entrusted institution in Gyeongbuk for the "2024 Viewer Media Foundation Broadcasting Equipment Consignment Project" organized by the Daegu Viewer Media Center (under the Korea Communications Commission's Viewer Media Foundation).
This project involves the long-term rental of broadcasting equipment owned by the Daegu Viewer Media Center to media-related organizations in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions for nine months from April to December this year, supporting media education and viewer participation program production in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas.
With this selection, the Gumi Video Media Center will additionally acquire 59 pieces of equipment across 13 types, including camcorders, cameras, lighting, and tripods, worth approximately 80 million KRW. Including the equipment currently held, the center will have a total of 256 units across 45 types, which can be utilized for various regional media linkage projects, greatly enhancing user satisfaction.
The equipment can be rented free of charge for regular members of the Gumi Video Media Center. Institutions or organizations located in the central-western region of Gyeongbuk (such as Gumi, Gimcheon, Chilgok) can also rent the equipment if they are conducting projects for media education purposes.
