During the inspection, Minister Lee emphasized, "It is very important to create a voting environment where citizens can safely exercise their suffrage," and urged, "Please make thorough preparations for the election until the very end, and carefully inspect the polling stations and counting centers."
Meanwhile, since early voting began on the 5th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety has been operating the '22nd National Assembly Election Voting and Counting Support Situation Room.' In coordination with the Central Election Commission, local governments, and others, the situation room monitors the progress of voting and counting in real time, and is establishing a system to respond promptly to emergencies through close cooperation with related agencies such as the National Police Agency, the National Fire Agency, KT, and Korea Electric Power Corporation.
