Complete lineup of the "World's Top 3 Beds"... Also attracting the latest popular furniture brands
Up to 50% off on home appliances... Unique events like 'Wedding Invitation Verification' and 'Drone Training'
As the wedding and moving seasons are in full swing, leading to an increase in demand for wedding supplies and home appliances, Shinsegae Centum City has renewed its lifestyle specialty store to capture the spring season demand.
This renewal was carried out with the intention of establishing itself as the top lifestyle specialty store in the region by introducing a total of 25 new MDs, including 10 furniture and 15 home appliances, and by featuring the lineup of the "world's three major luxury beds" along with the latest popular brands during the full onset of spring.

On the 8th floor, which was renewed last month, the Swedish brand H?stens, known as the "Rolls-Royce of mattresses," newly opened, and the high-end bed brands Duxiana from Sweden and Hypnos from the UK were newly renovated and showcased.
H?stens, with mattress prices reaching up to 1.2 billion KRW, along with Duxiana and Hypnos, are considered the "world's three major luxury beds." With H?stens' entry, this department store becomes the first in the Busan area to carry all these brands.
Despite the recent economic slowdown, the proportion of customers purchasing high-priced beds is increasing. In fact, an analysis of bed sales trends among customers aged 25 to 35, the typical marriage age group, showed that last year, 2 out of 10 customers purchased products priced over 1 million KRW, an increase of more than 90% compared to the previous year.
This is partly attributed to the trend of delayed marriage, resulting in more financially capable prospective newlyweds, and the functionality of high-end bed brands that provide optimal sleep with differentiated materials is gradually gaining consumer preference.
Following this trend, H?stens introduces a variety of bed lineups ranging from the entry model Maranga (around 30 million KRW) to the flagship 2000T (around 100 million KRW).
Additionally, considering the risk of long purchase cycles for furniture, a membership costing 120,000 KRW per year offers differentiated benefits such as lowest price guarantees and furniture care services, connecting to repurchases. The living edit shop "Movement Lab," which has attracted attention from the 2030 generation, also newly opened.
“Villa Record,” which suggests content that fills spaces centered on furniture and has gained a reputation as a "living trendsetter" among the 2030 generation, also entered for the first time in a department store nationwide. A unique promotion offering an additional 5% discount to customers who verify their wedding invitations will run until May for newlyweds.
▲ Half of Home Appliance Brands Newly Introduced
The 7th floor, focused on home appliances, renewed more than half of its 15 home appliance MDs and is currently holding discount events of up to 50%.
Proving the increased demand for home appliances in spring, overall sales of home appliances and kitchen products increased by 26% after the renovation, with home appliance sales showing a strong growth rate of 69%.
First, Xiaomi’s "Roborock," which boasts excellent quality and stability at a relatively affordable price and holds the number one market share for robot vacuum cleaners in Korea, and "Dreame," a high-end robot vacuum brand utilizing aerospace technology, have newly opened stores.
For the "home cafe" crowd who brew coffee at home, the premium kitchen appliance brand "Breville" introduced professional-quality home coffee machines and offers coffee tasting services for visitors. Philips and DeLonghi are offering up to 50% discounts on fully automatic and semi-automatic coffee machines until the 14th.
Unique stores can also be found. DJI, the brand holding the largest market share in the global drone market, opened its 10th store nationwide, providing one-on-one free training conducted by experts and opportunities to pilot popular drones directly.
Additionally, Cuckoo, which decorated its store with a traditional Korean house (Hanok) concept, offers a 20% discount on rice cookers and showcases various pet products such as dry rooms, water dispensers, and clippers in response to the era of ten million pet owners.
Yoon Jong-dae, head of the lifestyle team at Shinsegae Centum City, said, "Through this renewal, we plan to enhance the competitiveness of premium brands as the top lifestyle specialty store in Korea and strengthen marketing targeting VIPs and newlyweds by attracting popular brands favored by the 2030 generation."
