Hwang Yumin has risen to 40th place in the world rankings.

In the women's golf weekly world rankings announced on the 8th (local time), she earned 2.06 points, jumping 23 spots from 63rd place last week. She accumulated points by winning the Doosan Construction Weave Championship (total prize money 1.2 billion KRW), the domestic opening event of the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, which concluded on the 6th at Teddy Valley Golf & Resort (par 72, 6685 yards) in Seogwipo, Jeju Island. This is her second career win, nine months after the Daewoo Winia MBN Women's Open last July.


Nelly Korda (USA) maintained her No. 1 position. She secured her fourth consecutive victory at the T-Mobile Match Play on the LPGA Tour last week. Lilia Vu (USA) is in 2nd place, C?line Boutier (France) 3rd, Lin Xiyu (China) 4th, and Minjee Lee (Australia) remains 5th. For Korea, Ko Jin-young is 6th, Kim Hyo-joo 10th, Yang Hee-young 15th, and Shin Ji-ae is 18th. Kim Sei-young, who advanced to the semifinals of the T-Mobile Match Play, rose four spots to 35th place.
