Supporting Customized Policy Making and Decision-Making Annually through Big Data Analysis
Actively Reflecting Big Data Analysis Results in Policy Making... Strengthening the Foundation of Smart Administration
Dongdaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) is actively promoting customized big data analysis for scientific and rational policy formulation and decision-making.
From February to March, the district conducted a survey across all departments to identify and assess big data analysis projects, discovering a total of 10 projects. After comprehensively reviewing factors such as result utilization, data availability, and policy urgency, five final analysis projects were selected.
The final selected analysis projects are ▲‘Analysis of High Elderly Pedestrian Accident Zones’ for establishing policies to prevent accidents involving elderly pedestrians ▲‘Public WIFI New Installation Site Analysis’ and ‘Street Trash Bin New Installation Site Analysis’ to determine optimal locations for new public facilities ▲‘Spring Flower Festival Visitor Characteristics Analysis’ for developing content tailored to the characteristics of local festivals ▲and ‘Dongdaemun-gu Website Visitor Analysis’ to understand the features and patterns of website users.
The district plans to actively support rational and objective policy formulation and decision-making by the responsible departments through analysis conducted by big data analysis experts.
Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “To advance as a leading smart administration city, it is essential to actively utilize big data,” and added, “We will continue to promote smart administration that residents can experience firsthand through customized big data analysis in our district.”
