Mapo-gu Receives Positive Feedback for On-Site Special Credit Guarantee Registration with Woori Bank and Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation

Mapo-gu (District Mayor Park Gang-su) announced that the ‘Visiting Special Credit Guarantee On-site Application Desk,’ started in collaboration with Woori Bank and the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation to assist small business owners who find it difficult to take time off from their livelihoods, is receiving enthusiastic reviews.

Mapo-gu operated the ‘Special Credit Guarantee On-site Application Desk’ in five neighborhoods including Dohwa-dong, starting from March 29 to April 4 in Gongdeok-dong and Yonggang-dong, supporting a total of 2.235 billion KRW for 52 small business owners.

Management and financial consulting jointly conducted by Woori Bank and the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation was held 104 times over five days, receiving great responses from small business owners.

Jo Se-hyung, Vice President of the Institutional Group at Woori Bank, who visited the Dohwa-dong on-site application desk, said, “It is very meaningful to conduct visiting consulting together with Mapo-gu for small business owners who are the foundation of the local economy,” and added, “We will continue to visit residents alongside Mapo-gu to create a community that coexists with small business owners.”

The ‘Visiting Special Credit Guarantee On-site Application Desk’ will be sequentially operated in 16 neighborhoods until April 26, with operating hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding lunchtime (12 p.m. to 1 p.m.).

Any business located in Mapo-gu can receive loan consultations and consulting services at the on-site application desk. Special credit guarantee applications are available for small enterprises and small business owners affiliated with related local organizations (professional groups). Those not affiliated with any organization can apply starting in June. However, industries restricted from loan support, such as entertainment bars and gambling facilities, are excluded from support.

Small enterprises and small business owners wishing to apply for the special credit guarantee can visit the nearest on-site application desk on the operating day with their original and copy of ID, a copy of their business registration certificate, and a value-added tax standard certificate, regardless of their location.

Lee Yong-bok (pseudonym, 49), a small business owner who received consultation at the on-site application desk, expressed a positive response, saying, “I was able to save time by applying for the special credit guarantee and receiving management consultation at a nearby community center without having to go to the district office or bank.”

Detailed schedules and locations for the ‘Visiting Special Credit Guarantee On-site Application Desk’ can be found on the Mapo-gu Office website.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, “I am pleased that the operation of the on-site application desk is providing practical help to small business owners,” and added, “Mapo-gu will continue to constantly consider realistic support measures for small business owners and do its best efforts.”
