On the 8th, Taiwanese media such as United Daily News and China Times reported that IU conveyed a message of condolence during her world tour concert 'H. E. R.' held at Taipei Arena on the 6th and 7th, saying, "We express our deepest condolences and sympathy to the victims and families of the Hualien earthquake, and we thank and support everyone working diligently on the earthquake recovery."
The message was delivered with subtitles in three languages?Chinese, English, and Korean?during the encore stage at the end of the performance. The Chinese subtitles used Traditional Chinese characters, which are used in Taiwan. Additionally, during the concert, she said, "I practiced a lot because I wanted to greet you in your language," communicating with fans in Chinese, and prepared gifts exclusively for the Taipei audience, which were given to all attendees.
