A traffic accident patient showing symptoms of cerebral hemorrhage was able to protect their health thanks to a police officer.
According to Yeongam Police Station in Jeollanam-do on the 8th, a collision between two vehicles occurred at an intersection in Gunseo-myeon, Yeongam-gun around 7:40 PM on the 4th of this month.
One driver claimed to have no injuries and turned away the 119 ambulance. However, the police detected abnormal behavior and transported the driver to the hospital emergency room in a patrol car.
The driver could not remember the details of the accident. Despite staggering, they continuously refused hospital treatment.
After police persuasion, symptoms of cerebral hemorrhage were discovered upon arrival at the hospital. He was transferred to a university hospital in Gwangju, underwent emergency surgery, and is currently recovering his health.
