A Japanese female YouTuber active in Korea has attracted attention by revealing that she won third prize after purchasing lottery tickets while visiting famous lottery spots nationwide.

YouTuber 'Yuippyang' uploaded a video titled "I went around famous lottery spots nationwide and actually won" on the 7th. Her real name is Kiwano Yui, a Japanese woman who does personal broadcasting in Korea, currently with about 630,000 subscribers.

In the video, Yuippyang said she would do a lottery spot tour and promised, "If I win first prize, I will acquire AfreecaTV, give a car each to my passionate fans as a thank you, and then retire from broadcasting cleanly."

She purchased a total of 300,000 won worth of lottery tickets while visiting famous lottery stores nationwide. Then, she turned on a live broadcast to check the winning status with her fans. She said, "This is the third ticket out of 60, and I won fourth prize," then shortly after, "I also won fifth prize." Then, surprised, she shouted, "I got third prize!" She cheered, saying, "It was an automatic win," and "I got goosebumps. Someone who said it's just called a famous spot, come out. Yuippyang revealed that she purchased 300,000 won worth of lottery tickets, including 52 automatic and 8 manual tickets, winning third prize once, fourth prize once, and fifth prize four times. Afterwards, on the 1st, she visited NongHyup Bank to collect the third prize winnings of 1,649,000 won.

Meanwhile, last year, Yuippyang drew sympathy from netizens by releasing a video showing her crying after being verbally abused on the streets of Korea simply for being Japanese. In the video, a man claiming to be a defector from North Korea cursed, saying, "I want to kill all Japanese people. Don’t tell Koreans you came from Japan. I’ll smash you with stones."
