Candidates running for office in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, announced that they will conduct non-stop election campaigns from the 8th until the main voting day on the 10th.
The first to express this intention was Lee Jun-seok, leader of the Reform New Party. Around midnight that day, Lee posted on his Instagram, "I will conduct a 48-hour non-stop campaign starting from midnight today," adding, "I will go out riding a bicycle."

Regarding this, Cheon Ha-ram, the Reform New Party's General Election Committee Chair, explained on BBS Radio that when he asked Lee, "Aren't you going to die?" Lee replied, "I hate losing more than dying," explaining the background of Lee's decision to undertake a 48-hour non-stop campaign.
Gong Young-woon, the Democratic Party candidate, also announced at 9 a.m. that day, "I will conduct a 48-hour non-stop campaign until midnight tomorrow when the election campaign ends." Gong appealed on his Facebook, saying, "I will visit every corner of Dongtan," and asked, "Please hold Gong Young-woon's hand."
Han Jeong-min, the People Power Party candidate, also emphasized that he will conduct a non-stop campaign via Instagram Live from 9 p.m. that day until 9 a.m. the next day. Han said, "I already held a 24-hour nonstop final campaign engaging with residents over the past weekend," adding, "This non-stop campaign is an extension of that, aiming to sincerely meet each and every person."
