Public relationship started in 2016
Registered marriage in 2021 without a wedding ceremony
"Are you alone?"
"Yeah. Still single."
This is part of a conversation between the main villain Jang Chen (played by Yoon Kye-sang) and Detective Ma Seok-do (played by Ma Dong-seok) in 'The Outlaws 1'. When Jang Chen asks if he came alone, Ma Seok-do cleverly replies that he is alone (unmarried). Ma Dong-seok is truly moving beyond being single. Ma Dong-seok and model and broadcaster Yeo Jeong-hwa are lighting the wedding candles three years after registering their marriage. On the 8th, Big Punch Entertainment, the agency of Ma Dong-seok and Yeo Jeong-hwa, announced, "The two plan to quietly hold a private ceremony at a location in Seoul this coming May."
Ma Dong-seok and Yeo Jeong-hwa have been publicly dating since 2016 and became legally married after registering their marriage in 2021. The couple, noted for overcoming a 17-year age gap, reportedly developed their relationship through shared interests such as fitness and English.
At the 12th Beautiful Artist Awards ceremony in 2022, Ma Dong-seok received the Film Artist Award and expressed his gratitude, saying, "I love my wife Yeo Jeong-hwa and my family who always support me."
Meanwhile, Ma Dong-seok debuted as an actor in 2004 and has played leading and supporting roles in various works such as 'Train to Busan' (2016) and 'Goodbye Single' (2016). He is currently preparing for the release of the movie 'The Outlaws 4'. Yeo Jeong-hwa started as a fitness model and then entered the broadcasting industry, appearing in various programs including 'My Little Television' and 'Beauty STARgram'.
