Along with an explanation on the development plan for the rice industry, various opinions were exchanged regarding Nonghyup's role in government policy directions such as appropriate rice production measures, which have recently emerged as a key issue.

Seong Yi-kyung, chairman of the council, said, “Due to the annual decrease in per capita rice consumption, rice-producing farming households in production areas are experiencing many difficulties,” and added, “The RPC Bu-Ul-Gyeong Council should take a leading role in rice supply and demand adjustment and sales expansion.”

Director Jo Geun-su said, “The government is implementing measures to stabilize rice supply and demand, including the additional purchase of 50,000 tons of food aid grains,” and urged, “Nonghyup in the main production areas should strengthen efforts to expand rice consumption and marketing activities and do their best in inventory management in preparation for the harvest season.”
