The black bags had the word "Cheolgeo" (Demolition) written in white, and the masks attached to the bags also had the word "Cheolgeo" written in red.

A police official stated, "It appears that the mask was originally attached to the bag to quickly cover it." Police officers who witnessed the scene immediately stopped the man who was covering the statues. The police are currently conducting a legal review to determine whether charges such as property damage can be applied to this man. Property damage refers to a crime where someone damages or destroys property owned or managed by others, rendering it unusable.
