Theme is 'the Iron Rebirth'
Hybrid coaster transformed with wood + steel track combination
Everland's popular attraction 'T-Express' is back.
Samsung C&T Resort Division Everland announced on the 8th that the newly reborn T-Express, after about five months of renewal, started operating from last weekend.
Opened in March 2008, T-Express offers the ultimate thrill with a track length of about 1.6 km, a maximum speed of 104 km/h, a maximum height of 56 m, and a drop angle of 77 degrees over a 3-minute ride.
Everland T-Express has started operating again from the 6th after completing about five months of renewal. Everland has transformed T-Express into a hybrid roller coaster by newly incorporating steel tracks instead of wood on the approximately 380m high-speed section, starting from the first drop, which has the highest thrill intensity. The theme of this T-Express transformation is 'the Iron Rebirth.' During the renewal period, Everland collaborated with an overseas attraction specialist company to newly incorporate steel tracks instead of wood on the approximately 380 m high-speed section from the first drop, which is the most thrilling part of the entire track. Through this, T-Express has been reborn as a hybrid roller coaster where riders can experience both the rough and classic wooden coaster and the smooth and stable steel coaster ride sensations.
Additionally, Everland conducted comprehensive facility inspections and maintenance during the longest winter closure period of about five months since T-Express opened. In line with the renewal theme, main signage, colors, interiors, and props were also newly designed.
Meanwhile, a video of T-Express dolls riding, posted by Everland on SNS platforms such as YouTube and Instagram on the 4th, has attracted attention by surpassing 1.5 million cumulative views. The video shows about two minutes of test runs with big-size dolls such as Poobah, My Melody, and a sloth riding the renewed T-Express.
