Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) is implementing the '2024 Innovative Growth Youth Prospective Small Business Support Project' for young prospective entrepreneurs residing in Gangbuk-gu who dream of starting businesses in everyday life-related industries to revitalize youth entrepreneurship and establish a foundation.
This project provides education to 20 young prospective entrepreneurs (teams) within Gangbuk-gu on acquiring basic knowledge about startups, commercial area analysis and customer management, and how to write business plans necessary for small business support projects. Through a business item evaluation, a total of 9 individuals (teams) will be selected to receive commercialization funds ranging from 7 million KRW to a maximum of 20 million KRW.
The 9 individuals (teams) receiving commercialization funds must obtain a business registration certificate within Gangbuk-gu by the end of this year through auditions and customized incubating tailored to the procedures and methods for actual startup and the characteristics of their industry, and must use the supported commercialization funds within the year.
The district is recruiting applicants for the project until April 19. Application methods can be confirmed through the Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru website, and applicants must fill out and submit the application form and business plan posted on the website. Applicants must choose to apply in either the 'Food & Beverage (F&B)' service sector or the 'Lifestyle' sector, and some industries such as gambling businesses and entertainment businesses are excluded from support.
Meanwhile, the institution carrying out this project is Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru, which provides various programs such as startup support education and mentoring, corporate capacity-building programs, and resident company incubation projects for Gangbuk-gu residents interested in entrepreneurship.
