Korea and Russia will conduct a ‘Plogging Campaign.’ Plogging is a compound word of the Swedish words ‘Plocka upp,’ meaning ‘to pick up,’ and ‘Jogging,’ meaning running, referring to a volunteer activity of picking up trash while walking or jogging.

In addition, Korea will also promote a warm culture of affection by linking with local communities where its headquarters and production plants are located, such as Seoul, Cheongju, and Iksan. Anyone anywhere in the country can participate by taking a certification photo after plogging for more than one hour and uploading it to the Seoul Volunteer Center’s ‘Moa Platform’ by the 30th, which will automatically register their participation. Upon reaching 2,000 participants, 2,000 sets of snack gifts will be donated to local children’s centers in Seoul, Cheongju, and Iksan. Detailed participation methods can also be found on Orion’s official Instagram.

China will hold a tree-planting event in cooperation with local public interest organizations, and Vietnam will also participate by carrying out various eco-friendly activities in the future.

Orion has consistently conducted company-wide campaigns to raise awareness of the importance of the environment and to help embed eco-friendly activities into daily life. In particular, last year, plogging was expanded globally not only in Korea but also in China, Vietnam, and Russia, and approximately 80 million KRW worth of products, including snack gift sets, were delivered to local children’s centers in connection with local community eco-friendly projects.

An Orion official stated, “Since there was great interest from employees and local communities in last year’s global plogging activities, we will carry out eco-friendly campaigns tailored to each country’s circumstances again this year. We will continue to expand social contribution activities based on ethical management, which is the group’s management policy.”
