'School Violence Allegation' Whistleblower's Maternal Uncle Expresses Anger
Comments on 사건반장 YouTube Channel
As actor Song Ha-yoon's school violence allegations have surfaced and her agency has announced a strong response, a netizen claiming to be a family member of the victim posted a message.
Mr. A left a comment saying "My blood is boiling" on JTBC’s ‘Incident Room’ YouTube channel, which first reported Song Ha-yoon’s school violence allegations on the 5th.
He said he is the victim’s maternal uncle and explained, “It may seem strange that a male student was assaulted by a female student, but my nephew underwent major surgery at a hospital during early childhood and is relatively small in stature.”
The victim who reported being bullied by Song Ha-yoon was male and claimed that during high school, he was called out by Song Ha-yoon, who was his senior, and was slapped for about an hour and 30 minutes. He also claimed that he could not resist because Song Ha-yoon’s boyfriend at the time was a ‘iljin’ (delinquent).
Mr. A revealed that his nephew has graduated from college in the United States and is working at a good job in LA, adding, “I learned about this today after receiving a call from my younger sibling about facts I did not know.”
He continued, “I am posting this because the agency is committing secondary harm. Why can’t they explain the reason for the violence?” and said, “Can’t they offer a sincere apology? As a parent, my blood is boiling.”
The victim has lived in the United States since graduating from high school, and it is reported that he was greatly shocked after learning recently that Song Ha-yoon continues her acting career and has gained attention through the drama ‘Marry My Husband’.
After the allegations surfaced, Song Ha-yoon’s agency King Kong by Starship denied the claims, stating, “We have no acquaintance with the informant.” They acknowledged that Song Ha-yoon was involved in school violence in the past and was forced to transfer schools, but insisted that the informant is unrelated.
They also claimed that Song Ha-yoon was not a direct perpetrator in the school violence incident. Song Ha-yoon was the victim’s classmate at the time and only told the perpetrators whether the victim was attending school out of fear when asked.
The agency explained, “Song Ha-yoon’s only fault was tattling on the perpetrators,” and added, “Since she was active in the entertainment industry at the time, her agency wanted to quickly resolve the incident, so they gave a settlement to the victim and she voluntarily transferred schools.”
