Early voting for the 22nd general election has begun.


On the first day of early voting, the highest early voting rate in the history of general elections (15.61%) was recorded, and Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon and Jungnang District Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi, among other Seoul district heads, cast their early votes in their respective areas, encouraging citizens to vote.


Mayor Oh voted near City Hall that day, saying, "Voting in the general election is an act that decides the next four years for me and my family," and added, "Not voting means leaving it up to politicians I do not want to decide the issues of my life."

Mayor Lee said, "Voting is a natural right and duty of the people," and urged, "I hope the residents also participate in exercising this precious right."

Dobong District Mayor Oh Eon-seok visited the early voting station set up at Chang 5-dong Community Center on the afternoon of the first day of early voting for the 22nd National Assembly election, the 5th, and participated in voting. Mayor Oh said, "Voting is our precious right," and added, "I hope everyone participates in voting for Dobong District."

Jin Gyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo District, Seoul, voted at the early voting station for Hwagok 6-dong set up on the 3rd floor of Gangseo District Office on the first day of early voting for the 22nd National Assembly election, the 5th.


Mayor Jin said, "We have completed inspections of all early voting stations in the area, including checking for illegal equipment installation, the condition of ballot box installation, and voting operation equipment, so that residents can vote with peace of mind," and added, "Those who find it difficult to vote on the actual election day are encouraged to participate in early voting and exercise their precious rights."

Jung District Mayor Kim Gil-seong said after voting that day, "Jung District is currently entering a new leap forward. On the second day of early voting, the 6th, Seoul district heads are also expected to exercise their precious rights and encourage voting.
