Damyang-gun, New Recruitment of Suppliers for Hometown Love Donation Program Thank-You Gifts This Year

Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Byeong-no) announced on the 5th that it will newly recruit suppliers for hometown love donation return gifts in 2024.

The qualification for Damyang-gun return gift suppliers is that the business must have an office in Damyang-gun and be able to produce, manufacture, or supply the items selected as return gifts. Required documents must be brought and submitted in person to the Participation and Communication Office at Damyang-gun Office within the designated period.

This supplier recruitment includes items selected at the first return gift selection committee, such as forest products and newspaper subscription services, as well as other items selected last year.

The county will finalize the selection of return gift suppliers through the return gift selection committee’s review, and the selected return gifts will be provided to donors through Hometown Love e-um (Hometown Love Donation Comprehensive Information System).

Last year, Damyang-gun selected 43 items from 49 companies, including representative agricultural and specialty products of Damyang-gun and various experience products, over a total of four rounds.

In particular, they aimed to expand the related population of Damyang by discovering various tourism, culture, and experience-linked products such as Korean traditional confectionery making experiences, insect experiences, and barista experiences.

Lee Byeong-no, Governor of Damyang-gun, said, “The reason we were able to achieve the nationwide first place last year was undoubtedly the return gifts,” adding, “Distinctive and excellent quality return gifts will bring long-term regional economic revitalization, such as expanding sales channels for agricultural and specialty products and increasing tourists.”
