SoftCamp, Zero Trust Security Solution Enters Japanese Public Market

Softcamp announced on the 5th that it is entering the Japanese public market with its Zero Trust security solution.

Softcamp's Zero Trust secure remote access service, SHIELDGate, has been introduced in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. Users can remotely access internal work systems safely through SHIELDGate, which applies Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) technology from external personal devices. Notably, this adoption is significant as it was secured through competition with leading global Zero Trust security companies.

Remote access users in Yamanashi Prefecture authenticate their identity based on an IDP (Identity Provider) according to the access environment, then use Remote Browser Isolation technology to connect to work systems according to their permissions, enabling a secure work environment even from outside. Through this, Yamanashi Prefecture expects to implement safe telework using BYOD (Bring Your Own Device), where personal devices are used for work purposes.

Additionally, in accordance with information security guidelines, a Content Disarms Reconstruction (CDR) function is also provided for files coming from untrusted external sources, enabling Zero Trust security to be realized against potential threats.

Baehwankuk, CEO of Softcamp, stated, “The adoption case gained through the Ministry of Science and ICT’s ‘Zero Trust Security Model Demonstration Support Project’ was a great achievement for our entry into the Japanese market, and that experience was very helpful. We will lead the Zero Trust security markets in Korea and Japan, starting with this project win,” he emphasized.
