Interpark Commerce to Take Over Integrated PB Production Base for Qoo10

Strengthening Role as Integrated PB Business Headquarters for Group Companies

On the 26th of last month, executives from TMON, WEMAKEPRICE, and Interpark Commerce gathered in the conference room on the 5th floor of the Ariji Building in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. In front of attendees including Kim Dong-sik, CEO of Interpark Commerce, were bottled water, capsule coffee, and washing machine cleaners. These were all private brand (PB) products from Interpark Commerce that have recently seen increased sales. At the meeting, Interpark Commerce shared a strategy to sell these PB products on platforms like TMON and WEMAKEPRICE and agreed to take charge of their production base.

On the 5th, Qoo10 announced that Interpark Commerce will be responsible for the group's integrated PB production to strengthen product competitiveness. The in-house PB briefing held on the 26th was an occasion to announce Interpark Commerce’s enhanced role and strategy as the group’s integrated PB business headquarters.

Interpark Commerce has released 13 types of PB products to date. Since launching its first PB product, ‘iPOP Edible Spring Water,’ in July last year, it has introduced probiotics, tights, kitchen towels, beauty tissues, dishcloths, capsule coffee, and washing machine cleaners. Compared to September last year, when PB products were first launched, the transaction amount in March this year has increased more than threefold, marking remarkable growth.

Building on this momentum, Interpark Commerce plans to launch around 10 new PB products across various categories within the first half of this year. While household goods have been the main focus so far, the product range will expand to include functional cosmetics and health supplements.

Interpark Commerce’s PB strategy extends to launching platform-specific specialized products. Leveraging a deep understanding of PB products and strong brand collaboration capabilities, it will lead PB product development for the entire Qoo10 group. Interpark Commerce has decided to implement a customized strategy to develop specialized PB products tailored to each platform such as TMON and WEMAKEPRICE.

Exports will also be promoted using the recently launched global shopping platform ‘Inpak Shopping.’ Inpak Shopping is a platform that offers sales opportunities in countries including Japan, the United States, Singapore, India, and China by linking with Qoo10’s global infrastructure. For example, a PB power bank featuring the ‘Loopy’ character, which has recently gained popularity in Southeast Asia, is now available for order on this platform, generating high expectations.

Lee Min-jung, head of Interpark Commerce’s Product Development Team 2, said, "We will showcase differentiated PB products by combining Interpark Shopping’s know-how and the group’s capabilities," adding, "We will not only provide tangible benefits to customers but also actively seek to enter the global market."
