Lotte Mart and Lotte Super's exclusive products released to celebrate their founding anniversary are gaining popularity in the early stages of launch.
Lotte Mart and Lotte Super, operated by Lotte Shopping, announced on the 5th that 'Siwontang Kkotgetangmyeon (4-pack)' sold more than 25,000 units within five days of its release, entering the top ranks in ramen sales. This product is an exclusive item for Lotte Mart and Lotte Super, launched on the 28th of last month to coincide with the founding anniversary sale, 'THE (The) Big Sale.'

This product is the first exclusive ramen item created through collaboration between Lotte Mart and Nongshim, the number one company in the domestic ramen market, with a preparation period of seven months, according to the company. Lotte Mart planned a seafood ramen, noting the scarcity of seafood-flavored ramen in the market, and since March to April is the peak season for flower crabs, they chose flower crab as the core concept.
Siwontang Kkotgetangmyeon contains about 10% domestic flower crab (based on fresh weight) among all the ingredients in the soup base. Through collaboration with Nongshim, the umami of flower crab and seafood is preserved while eliminating the unique fishy smell of flower crab. The addition of freeze-dried crab-flavored flakes enhances both the taste and visual appeal of the ramen.
Lotte Mart and Lotte Super are holding a discount event until the 17th to commemorate the exclusive launch of Siwontang Kkotgetangmyeon. During this period, purchasing two or more products grants a 10% discount, selling each at 4,392 won.
Lee Young-joo, product planner (MD) of the seasoning substitute team at Lotte Mart and Lotte Super, said, "We planned this product to create an authentic seafood ramen that captures the spring appetite with simple cooking." He added, "We will continue to introduce differentiated exclusive products available only at Lotte Mart and Lotte Super to strengthen Lotte's product competitiveness."
Meanwhile, another exclusive product, 'Haitai Sand Ace Steamed Coffee (204g),' is also gaining popularity, selling over 10,000 units within five days of release. This product combines Haitai's cracker snack 'Ace' with coffee cream, replicating the popular dabang coffee flavor favored by the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z). It started selling at Lotte Mart on the 28th of last month and will be available at Lotte Super from the 18th.
