The Korea Cancer Research Foundation and Boryung are recruiting candidates for the 23rd Boryung Cancer Academic Award.
The Boryung Cancer Academic Award is open to doctors and scientists who have been engaged in oncology research for more than five years and have contributed to the advancement of oncology in Korea. Research achievements are evaluated based on papers published in domestic and international professional journals over the past three years, from 2021 to last year. The application period is until the 30th of this month.
The awardee will be selected as the final candidate through the review of the Boryung Cancer Academic Award Achievement Review Committee and the Steering Committee. The recipient will receive a plaque and a prize of 30 million KRW to encourage academic activities.
The Boryung Cancer Academic Award was jointly established by the Korea Cancer Research Foundation and Boryung in 2002 to honor scholars who have made contributions to improving public health through cancer eradication research. Over the past 23 years, it has been recognized as the most prestigious award in the domestic oncology field, fostering oncology research activities in Korea, discovering academically significant results, and raising both domestic and international interest in cancer research.
