Gang Arrested for Luring with "Cheap Coins" and Robbing 550 Million Won in Cash

A group that extorted cash under the pretense of cryptocurrency trading was arrested by the police.

On the 4th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested three men in their 30s on suspicion of special theft.

They are accused of luring a victim with the bait of coin trading in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, around 1 p.m. on the 1st, stealing 550 million won in cash, and fleeing.

The police urgently arrested one suspect on the day of the incident in the afternoon and later apprehended the other two. They are currently investigating the specific details of the case.
