Hamyang County in Gyeongnam announced on the 4th that the trainees of the 3rd 5th-grade promotion leader course of the Local Autonomy Talent Development Institute in 2024 performed a ‘2024 Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival Successful Hosting Prayer Performance’.

In the regular personnel appointment in the first half of 2024 last January, the county approved the promotion of 8 officials to the rank of section chief and dispatched them as trainees of the 3rd 5th-grade promotion leader course at the Local Autonomy Talent Development Institute located in Wanju County, Jeonbuk, for six weeks from March 4 to April 12.

Among them, Kim Bok-su, the head of the Wild Ginseng Anti-aging Division in charge of the Wild Ginseng Festival, along with seven other trainees, distributed promotional materials for the Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival to about 500 fellow trainees on the 3rd and performed the 2024 19th Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival Successful Hosting Prayer Performance.

The 19th Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival in 2024 will be held under the slogan ‘Fall for Hamyang, Be Captivated by Wild Ginseng’ from October 3 to 9 for seven days at Sangnim Park in Hamyang.

The 18th Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival held last year was honored with the Grand Prize in the Festival Economy category at the ‘Korea Festival Contents Awards’ and was evaluated to have attracted about 100,000 visitors, generating a direct economic effect of 11 billion KRW.
