Chungnam Shinbo-Yesan County Hold Meeting to Support Small Business Owners

The Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation discussed various measures to support the business stability of small business owners in Yesan County.

On the 3rd, Kim Doo-jung, Chairman of Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation, held a meeting with Choi Jae-gu, Mayor of Yesan County, where they explained the 2023 support achievements for small business funds and pledged to cooperate in supporting business stability.

Last year, Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation provided Yesan County with 16.07 billion KRW in special guarantee funds. The average loan interest rate was 2.24%, and during the two-year interest subsidy period, Yesan County saved 1.44 billion KRW in interest costs compared to commercial banks and 4.54 billion KRW compared to savings banks.

Chairman Kim stated, “Since many small business owners in the region still use savings banks, we will actively work to help them switch to low-interest loans. According to data, the two-year survival rate of small business owners who have not received the foundation’s training is 55%, but the survival rate of those who have received training is 90%. Non-financial support programs that enhance business self-sustainability are also essential for revitalizing the local economy,” he emphasized.

Mayor Choi Jae-gu said, “After taking office, I learned about the foundation’s excellent programs for small business owners and have doubled the contribution compared to before my tenure. I will continue to strive to actively support small business owners within the institutional framework,” he said.
