Development of Wellness Tourism Programs and Support for Domestic and International Promotion
County Governor Kim Seong: "We Will Build a Wellness Tourism Foundation to Attract Global Tourists"
Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 4th that the ‘Jangheung Integrated Medical Hospital Mind Health Healing Center’ has been selected as a representative wellness tourism destination in Jeollanam-do.
The Jeollanam-do Tourism Foundation selects representative wellness tourism destinations in Jeollanam-do every year and supports the development of wellness tourism programs as well as domestic and international promotional marketing.
This year, three locations including the Jangheung Mind Health Healing Center, Muan Haneulbyeolbada, and Wando Marine Healing Center were selected to receive support such as tourism expert consulting and wellness fam tours.
The Mind Health Healing Center, located within the Jangheung Integrated Medical Hospital, is a facility established through an agreement among four institutions: Jeollanam-do, Jangheung-gun, Wonkwang University, and the National Naju Hospital, to heal the physical and mental suffering of local residents.
It operates various healing programs including health checkups such as body composition and stress tests, as well as herbal foot baths, moxibustion treatment, hair spa, and thermal therapy.
County Governor Kim Seong said, “As Jeollanam-do is promoting the World Tourism Culture Expo starting this year, we will strengthen the foundation for wellness tourism and actively attract global tourists.”
