'AI Floor Recognition' Feature for Cleaning Tailored to Floor Conditions
Samsung Electronics announced on the 4th that it will sell the 'Bespoke AI Steam' robot vacuum cleaner equipped with a steam sterilization function for the first time in Korea.
The Bespoke AI Steam, with AI-enhanced floor, object, and space recognition capabilities, is a robot vacuum cleaner that performs dust suction, wet mop cleaning, automatic washing, and steam sterilization all in one device.

On the launch day of the Bespoke AI Steam on the 3rd, Samsung.com, Gmarket, 11st, and CJ Home Shopping conducted live commerce, and from that day onward, it will expand sales of the Bespoke AI Steam through live broadcasts on home shopping channels and more.
The Bespoke AI Steam robot vacuum cleaner is the first in Korea to feature a 'wet mop steam sterilization' function, addressing consumers' concerns about wet mop odors and bacterial growth. It first automatically cleans the mop with high-temperature steam and water, then sterilizes it with 100℃ steam to eliminate 99.99% of various bacteria including E. coli. Finally, it dries the mop with a 55℃ hot air flow, reducing worries about odor and hygiene.
The mop rotates at a fast speed of 170 rpm (170 rotations per minute) to effectively remove floor dirt and stubborn stains. Especially, when it detects a contaminated area on the floor during cleaning, it automatically returns to the Clean Station to wash the mop with high-temperature steam and then re-cleans the contaminated area with the warmed mop for focused cleaning.
Additionally, the Bespoke AI Steam uses an AI DNN (Deep Neural Network) model based on 1.7 million object data points and utilizes a front camera sensor to recognize and avoid various objects. Notably, the number of recognizable categories has significantly increased compared to previous models, enabling it to detect even thin phone cables and mats.
With a total of five sensors including an ultrasonic sensor, the 'AI Floor Recognition' function detects the floor environment and customizes cleaning by distinguishing between hardwood floors and carpets. It cleans hardwood floors with a wet mop, and for carpets, it determines whether to completely detach the mop or lift it depending on the carpet height to prevent the carpet from getting wet or dirty.
The Bespoke AI Steam robot vacuum cleaner, together with the 'Bespoke AI Family Hub' refrigerator, received IoT security safety verification from the global certification company UL Solutions and became the first in the industry to earn the highest diamond grade. This recognition confirms its strong security performance in protecting personal information.
The Bespoke AI Steam robot vacuum cleaner is available in two uniquely attractive colors: Satin Greige and Satin Charcoal, with a retail price of 1,790,000 KRW.
