On the 2nd, a post titled "Can't middle school second graders prepare their own meals these days?" was uploaded on an online community. As of the 3rd, the post had garnered 145,100 views and 910 recommendations, becoming quite popular. The author, Mr. A, began by saying, "When I was in middle school second grade, I used to cook ramen or make kimchi fried rice by myself, so I'm curious if it's now a trend that middle school second graders can't prepare their own meals."

Mr. A explained the situation, saying, "I was supposed to meet my sister-in-law, but she suddenly contacted me saying she would be an hour late for the appointment. It turned out she was preparing a meal for her child. I asked if a middle school second grader really can't prepare their own meal, and I almost got my head pulled."

When Mr. A asked, "Is there any middle school student these days who can't prepare their own meals?" the sister-in-law responded, "I don't make the kids do any room cleaning, dishwashing, or house chores at all." In response, Mr. A said, "Is it even possible that they can't clean their room? Maybe I can't relate because I don't have kids. Becoming an adult doesn't mean suddenly knowing how to do house chores; mothers have to teach them one by one, but she has no intention of doing that." He added, "She boasts about raising her child with great care, but I find it annoying."

Netizens who read the story reacted with comments such as, "If they're in middle school second grade, I can somewhat understand," "My dog feeds itself, so I don't understand why she's getting upset," "She was late for the appointment too," "Kids raised by parents like that only know how to study and nothing else," and "That child probably won't be able to handle social life." Netizen B said, "I think one of the things parents should teach their children is house chores," adding, "Parents who don't teach house chores under the pretense of raising their children lovingly should reflect on themselves. When married, it becomes a burden to their spouse, and even living alone, their home will be a mess."
