On the 3rd, the KOSPI index started on a downward trend. Both foreigners and institutions engaged in selling, resulting in a decline of over 1%.
As of 10:46 AM, the KOSPI index was trading at 2716.35, down 36.81 points (-1.34%) from the previous day. Institutions and foreigners sold 295.7 billion KRW and 140 billion KRW respectively, while individuals were the sole buyers with purchases worth 43.1 billion KRW.
Among the top market capitalization stocks on the KOSPI, Samsung Electronics showed weakness. Following were POSCO Holdings (-2.20%), SK Hynix (-3.54%), Hyundai Motor (-1.56%), and Celltrion (-2.01%), all declining.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index was trading at 876.68, down 14.91 points (-1.67%) from the previous day. Institutions sold 83.2 billion KRW and foreigners sold 7.9 billion KRW. In contrast, individuals purchased stocks worth 105.8 billion KRW.
Among the top market capitalization stocks on the KOSDAQ, EcoPro fell by over 5%. EcoPro BM was also down by over 4%. Enchem recorded a rise of over 16%.
