Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 2nd that it is recruiting participants for the second phase of the 2024 public work project until the 11th to help economically vulnerable low-income groups achieve economic independence and improve their quality of life.
This recruitment will select a total of 93 people for 52 projects, including youth job projects and environmental maintenance projects.
Applicants must be capable workers aged 18 or older as of the announcement date and registered residents of Gochang-gun.
Household income must be below 70% of the median income (4,010,939 KRW for a family of four in 2023), and total assets (land, buildings, houses, cars, etc.) must be 400 million KRW or less. Those whose participation days overlap with other direct job projects are not eligible to participate.
The wage is set at 9,860 KRW per hour, with a maximum of 30 hours per week for those under 70 years old, and up to 15 hours per week for those 70 years old and above.
Applications can be submitted through the applicant’s local town or township office by the 11th, with a participation application form and a copy of the ID card.
The county will conduct a fair screening process by checking household income, asset status, and the number of public job participations through the Ilmoa system, and will finalize the selection of participants by the 25th.
Hwang Min-an, Director of the New Vitality Economic Policy Office of the county, said, “This project supports low-income groups to secure living expenses and establish a foundation for independence, so we ask for your great interest. We will fairly select participants who fit the purpose of the public work project to provide employment experience to vulnerable groups and ensure that the selection and operation of the project help stabilize their livelihoods.”
