Galaxia Moneytree announced on the 2nd that it has recruited financial expert Shin Nyeon-gi, formerly of Apanda Partners, as the head of its New Business Division.
Executive Director Shin Nyeon-gi, who joined in April, is an expert who has worked at major domestic financial institutions including LG Caltex Gas (now E1) starting in 2004, the Korea Development Bank, Hana Bank, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, and Shinhan Bank. He also served as an executive director at Apanda Partners, a joint venture of Shinhan Investment Corp., where he contributed to the designation of the STO (Security Token Offering) platform service as an innovative financial service.
By newly recruiting an STO expert, Galaxia Moneytree is expected to accelerate its ongoing STO business. The company is in the final stages of the process to receive innovative financial service designation for an aviation finance STO, which is among the underlying assets for which a business agreement was signed last year.
A representative of Galaxia Moneytree stated, “We recruited an industry expert to actively promote the STO business,” and added, “Together with newly joined Executive Director Shin Nyeon-gi, we will make thorough preparations to obtain the innovative financial service designation, focusing on aviation finance.”
Additionally, the company aims to submit a securities registration statement for the racehorse STO within the first half of the year. To this end, at the regular shareholders’ meeting held on the 28th of last month, the company added detailed items to its business objectives, including △ renewable energy facilities △ auctionable goods such as animals and plants including racehorses (including young horses) for storage and breeding (cultivation).
