Han Dong-hoon, the Emergency Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, visited Busan and expressed his desire to become like Yeom Jong-seok of the Lotte Giants professional baseball team. In response, Jo Guk, the leader of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, criticized him using the Busan dialect. On the 1st, Jo Guk posted on his social networking service (SNS) targeting Han Dong-hoon, saying, "As the public sentiment in Busan grows turbulent, Han Dong-hoon suddenly claims to be a Giants fan. Kak sseri ma!" The word 'sseri' used by Jo is a Gyeongsang-do dialect meaning 'to scold' or 'to hit,' 'kak' means 'just' or 'this,' and 'ma' is an emphatic ending in the Gyeongsang-do dialect.

Earlier that day, Chairman Han compared himself to Yeom Jong-seok, the pitcher who led the Lotte Giants to victory in 1992, during a campaign rally in Busan. Han mentioned that during his previous visit to Busan, he wore a T-shirt with '1992' printed on it, which attracted attention, and referred to Yeom Jong-seok, who joined Lotte as a high school rookie in 1992 and recorded 17 wins. He said, "There is someone who comes to mind when you think of 1992. Yeom Jong-seok is the same age as me," adding, "He joined Lotte as a high school rookie, achieved 17 wins in the regular season, and pitched two complete games in the postseason, leading Lotte to the championship in 1992," and "We will create a brilliant era of glory in Busan like 1992."

He continued, "As you know, Yeom Jong-seok's best year was only that first year. Afterward, due to injuries, Yeom could not replicate the success of 1992 and retired," and "I have no complaints even if I exhaust myself and end this year like Yeom Jong-seok. I will do my utmost to achieve a victory for Busan like Yeom Jong-seok," appealing for support.

Meanwhile, on the same day, Jo Guk not only criticized Chairman Han Dong-hoon but also shared two photos of gifts he received from supporters during his visit to Busan. The photos posted by Jo show a professional baseball Lotte Giants uniform. In the photo, Jo is wearing the uniform and pointing at the number 9 on the back with both thumbs. Along with the number 9, the two characters 'Jo Guk' are also embroidered. The number 9 is the ballot number assigned to the Jo Guk Innovation Party in this general election. Another photo shows a uniform hanging on a hanger with a sash that reads '9 Jo Guk Innovation Party.' In a TV speech on the 31st of last month, Jo appealed, "There is no dictatorship that does not fall after being voted nine times. Please vote number 9 to save the country."
