Han Visits Busan, Delivers Sharp Criticism to Opposition Leader
"Are You Saying You Can Commit Crimes and Avoid Prison?"
97 Days into Politics, "Please Choose Me Just Once"
Han Dong-hoon, Emergency Response Committee Chairman and General Election Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, criticized on the 1st, "Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, really used trash-like abusive language, and after it was revealed, he cried apologizing to the people, but that was crocodile tears."
At a support rally in Yeonje-gu, Busan, Han said, "When we pleaded, Lee called it 'crocodile tears.' Shall I tell you what crocodile tears are?" He pointed out, "Lee has never apologized to his sister-in-law who used such trash-like abusive language or to his brother who was sent to a psychiatric hospital. That is crocodile tears."

Then, Han also made remarks targeting Lee and Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party. He said, "Is it right for someone who committed a crime and was punished to enter politics to take revenge on the judicial system?" and questioned, "Why do we have to see this kind of politics in 2024?" He also criticized, "In one of my favorite movies, 'Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time,' there is a line that even gangsters' fights need a justification. What is the justification of Cho and Lee? Isn't it to commit crimes and avoid going to prison? These people have no justification in politics at all."
He added, "(Candidate Kim Hee-jung, running in Yeonje, Busan, and I) are not whining to you to protect ourselves like Lee Jae-myung and Cho Kuk," and said, "Even if there are difficulties, we will not ask you to protect us. Instead, we will protect you."
Han pleaded, "Please give me one more chance." He appealed, "I have only been in politics for 97 days, and you have never chosen me before. Please choose me. Let me work for you."
Earlier, at a support rally in Busanjin-gu, Busan, Han emphasized, "I will monitor well, so please go out and vote in early voting or the main election no matter what," and said, "There may be many things you are not satisfied with in the People Power Party. But since I came, haven’t I struggled and wriggled to change what you think is lacking? It wasn’t easy, but I did it. I will continue to do so." He continued, "If you think there is something lacking in the government or ruling party, please tell me," and pledged, "I will take responsibility, risk my life, and solve it."
