Seogwipo Fire Station Holds In-House Demonstration for Jeju Firefighting Skills Competition

Seogwipo Fire Station recently held an internal demonstration at the fire station yard in preparation for participation in the 2024 Provincial Firefighting Skills Competition.

According to Seogwipo Fire Station on the 1st, the Firefighting Skills Competition is held annually to motivate firefighters to improve their skills in fire, rescue, and emergency medical fields on their own and to strengthen their on-site response capabilities.

This demonstration was organized to review the training that the teams competing in each category?fire tactics, rescue tactics (applied rescue, strongest firefighter), and emergency medical tactics (mass casualty, advanced cardiac life support)?have been preparing, and to encourage the teams. About 60 staff members attended.

Chief Go Jae-woo said, “I hope the firefighters who have worked hard and sweated for this competition will achieve good results,” adding, “I hope the skills mastered during the training process will translate into on-site responses, and that they will do their best to protect the safety and lives of the residents.”
