Various Events and Endurance Obstacle Race at 12km Daegwang Beach
Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do will hold the 3rd Shinan Imja Beach Horse Riding Competition at Daegwang Beach in Imja-myeon from the 12th to the 13th.
According to the county on the 1st, this competition held at Daegwang Beach on Imjado Island, which is 200 meters wide and 12 km long, will feature various events and endurance obstacle races, and will offer visitors the opportunity to experience horse riding.

Organized by the Korea Equestrian Federation and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Shinan-gun, and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, this competition is held in conjunction with the Imja Tulip Festival, Shinan-gun's representative festival, and is expected to provide visitors with more attractions and entertainment.
An official from the competition stated, “We hope that through this event, Daegwang Beach in Shinan Imja will be recognized nationwide as an optimal beach horse riding course,” and added, “We will do our best to revitalize the local economy through the horse riding industry.”
A county official said, “It is expected that many equestrians will visit Shinan Imjado through this competition,” and added, “We will make various efforts, such as supporting horse riding experiences for students in island areas, to further promote horse riding in the future.”
