"Strengthening AI and Digital Technologies... Accelerating Global Expansion"
LS Electric announced that it will simultaneously participate in the 'Korea Electrical Industry Fair (SIEF)·Korea Smart Grid Expo (KSGE) 2024' held from the 3rd to the 5th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It will take part in the largest smart power and energy exhibition in Korea.
LS Electric will prepare the largest exhibition space among participating companies and unveil strategic products to lead the next-generation smart power market. In a 90-booth (810㎡) exhibition space, it will reveal next-generation smart power solutions and global business strategies under the theme "Opening a Sustainable Future Together with Customers." The booth will be divided into three zones: LS Electric's 50th anniversary, core solutions, and partnerships.
LS Electric will fully deploy next-generation smart distribution solutions based on world-class direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) products. It will introduce its global power market expansion strategy focused on the United States and Southeast Asia.
It will showcase the only UL-certified distribution panel among domestic heavy electrical companies. A full package of next-generation power systems including smart switchgear, DC molded case circuit breakers (MCCB), DC relays, and DC disconnectors will be unveiled. The company emphasizes its world-class power solution technology and supply capabilities applied across the entire power system from transmission and transformation to distribution.
Last year, LS Electric consecutively signed power system supply contracts for Hyundai Motor - LG Energy Solution joint venture battery plant in Savannah, Georgia, the Hyundai Motor Savannah electric vehicle-only plant, and the Hyundai Motor-SK On joint venture battery plant. LS Electric was the only domestic heavy electrical company to secure UL certification essential for entering the U.S. distribution market over a decade ago.

LS Electric expects the U.S. distribution market to be about six times larger than the ultra-high voltage transformer market. Leveraging its track record of supplying equipment to domestic conglomerates' U.S. factories as a foothold, it plans to strengthen partnerships with local power companies and focus on expanding its global business.
As data centers and power infrastructure businesses grow, demand for large-scale power infrastructure and distribution panels is also expected to explode. The global data center power demand is estimated to grow at an average annual rate of 11% from 2023 to 2028. Including data center power demand for energy-intensive industries such as artificial intelligence (AI) servers, it is projected to increase by 26-36% annually.
LS Electric has set a goal to raise its overseas sales from the current level of 50% to 70% by 2030. Currently, LS Electric's order backlog is approximately 2.6 trillion KRW.
It also plans to introduce the next-generation ESS (Energy Storage System) platform MSSP (Modular Scalable String Platform) and the smart factory solution platform 'Solution Square' to target the global industrial ESS market.
Marking its 50th anniversary, LS Electric will also prepare an exhibition space for partner companies within its booth. It will introduce 25 partners including Microsoft, LG PRI, and Dongwoo Electric, showcasing their business activities. The company aims to strengthen partnerships for mutual growth and win-win cooperation.
An LS Electric official said, "We have organized the exhibition to firmly imprint our superior technology capabilities in the power and automation fields," adding, "By combining top-level products with AI and digital technologies, we will accelerate the expansion of the global smart power energy market."
