Powernet announced on the 1st that it is preparing to enter the domestic B2C (business-to-consumer) market by developing a wireless fast-charging auxiliary battery and an ultra-compact ADAPTOR integrated product.
The upcoming products include an ultra-compact 65W PD-Adapater applying GaN and an LFP auxiliary battery integrated product capable of wireless fast charging compliant with the QI2 standard. The company explained that these are essential items in modern society where the use of portable electronic devices is high, and they have sufficient marketability in terms of utility, safety, and price.
A Powernet representative stated, “We successfully completed marketability testing by exhibiting the prototype at last month’s electronics exhibition in Japan,” adding, “We are currently reviewing performance improvements and customized designs considering the younger generation.”
He continued, “We plan to consider supplying these products as linked items for portable electronic devices through collaboration with affiliated companies in the first half of the year,” and added, “From the second half, we will prepare for a smooth landing in the B2C market through full-scale promotional activities.”
Powernet is fostering future growth industries for a leap forward while securing stable growth in its existing SMPS (Switched-Mode Power Supply) business, focusing especially on premium ultra-compact SMPS and battery-related businesses.
To this end, it maintains close technical collaboration with Chinese battery company CEL, French Digital GaN specialist Wise Integration, and domestic battery module companies.
A Powernet representative said, “Our primary goal this year is to enter the domestic B2C market with LFP-applied products, and in the second half, we plan to establish a foundation for growth as a specialized LFP battery product company by participating in a demonstration project for exchangeable battery packs for electric two-wheelers,” adding, “We also plan to supply premium ultra-compact adapters applying GaN worldwide through collaboration with France’s Wise Integration.”
He concluded, “We aim to grow into the ‘No.1’ company in the electric and electronic industry, including electric vehicle modules, in the future.”
